"The Internet is an international 'super-network' connecting millions of individual computer networks and computers." See Lockheed Martin Corp v. Network Solutions, Inc, 985 F. Supp. 949, 951 (CD Cal 1997); see generally American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia v. Reno, 929 F. Supp. 824, 830-45 (ED Pa 1996), aff'd, 117 S. Ct. 2329, 138 L. Ed. 2d 874 (1997). The Internet presents information in graphic and text form that users can access with a browser program. Links (an image or short section of text referring the user to another document on the Internet) allow individuals to access an enormous amount of information. If a user is looking for a particular piece of information, searching the Internet in this manner may be unwieldy and inefficient. A user who knows the web site address of the information, however, can type in the address and connect directly to that web site.
